President Trump's speech to Congress on Tuesday was “one of the deepest and most powerful speeches the US president has ever given,” says Liz Wheeler.
But that's not just her opinion. Americans generally agree. According to a CBS poll, the speech received a 75% approval rate.
“It's a mandate like you've never seen in the United States,” Liz says.
So, what made it so great?
Liz answered this question in the latest episode of The Liz Wheeler Show, outlining the three most powerful moments since his return to the historic White House in President Trump's first speech.

1. Allow Democrats to speak for themselves.
One of the most powerful moments, Liz says, was when President Trump saw the Democrats.
“There's absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy, smile or praise them. …I have been able to announce the cure for the most devastating illness, the disease that wipes out the whole country, or the answer to the biggest economy in history, or the crime halt to the lowest ever recorded levels.
This was great, says Liz. Because “the Democrats allowed themselves to speak of.
Instead of calling them liars, communists, Marxists, or other appropriate derogatory names, “all he did was to bring your attention to the actions of the Democrats.” And whenever they refuse to applause or stand for the universally good things that occurred during the 90-minute speech, President Trump had to say it himself, “our attention was brought back to the fact that these are bad people.”
“A list of things Democrats rejected last night's praise… that It's something that sticks to the hearts of Americans,” says Liz.
2. Exposes corruption through classic Trump humor.
Revisiting the list of violently corrupt and outrageous causes that received USAID funds was another sparkling stroke, says Liz. It not only reminded the Americans that their taxes are wasted on absurd causes, but they did so in the way that allowed Trump to use his comedy genius.
“$40 million to improve the social and economic inclusion of sedentary immigrants. No one knows what it is. $8 million to promote LGBTQI+ in the Lesotho nation of Africa. No one has heard of it. $60 million for the empowerment of Central America and Afro-Colombia. $60 million. $8 million to make mouse transgender,” he said when the audience (except Democrats) laughed.
He then nurtured the corruption that was happening in Social Security and once again used his unique sense of humor.
“According to the Social Security Database, 130,000 people are over 160. Bobby has a healthier country than I thought,” he said. RFKJr.
3. A speech to American children.
One of the most powerful moments came when President Trump spoke to American children, indoctrinated into the left gender ideology, Liz says, and spoke to American children who were engraved in the lab. This is a big lie and our message to all children in America is that you are completely perfect in the way God made you. ”
“This is a very life-supporting message from President Trump,” Liz says.
