Exclusive: Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders supports Karin Taylor Robson in the Arizona 2026 Governor Republican primary.
Robson is looking to settle Democratic government Katie Hobbs in what is expected to become one of the most competitive races in the country.
“I'm proud to President Trump to support Karin Taylor Robson for the Governor. Karin is the need of Arizona, a conservative outsider and business leader. She should partner with the Trump administration to secure our borders, create a strong economy and say no to awakened agenda. Sanders said in a monopoly statement from Fox News Digital.

Sanders was a spokesman for President Donald Trump during his first term, then followed in the footsteps of his father, Mike Huckabee, and became governor in 2023, taking over Republican Governor Asa Hutchinson.

Her leadership in Arkansas and President Trump's dedication to America's first agenda is an example of what every governor in the country should follow. At Turning Point USA's America Fest in December, Trump said he plans to support the campaign if she jumps in.
“Are you running for governor? I think so, Karin, if you're going to support me, OK?” Trump said during his speech.
In 2022, she made a major bid for the governor's office, and was defeated slightly by Republican Lake Kari. Lake and Robson had a bitter major battle in 2022, but Robson ultimately supported both Trump and Lake in the 2024 general election bid.

Trump supporter Rep. Andy Biggs threw his hat into the ring, winning the support of Republican Arizona lawmakers Eli Crane and Paul Gossal. Robson critics believe the Biggs have a better shot of beating Republican bases and hope that the president will bring about a change of heart.

Meanwhile, there is a long way to go before the primary election scheduled for August 4th, 2026. It is unclear whether other major candidates will take part in the race on both sides. Cooking political reports rank by throwing general election races. Other statewide offices, including the Secretary of State and Attorney General, can also be obtained in battlefield states that Trump won in 2024.
