Transgender activist Dylan Mulbany denounced the Trump administration's restoration of biological reality to government-issued identification materials, claiming that he was a woman “no matter what my passport says.”
Tiktok star Mulvany sparked national controversy and celebrated Mulvany's transition to “girl” after posting a video in 2023 revealing that Bud Light had sent a beer can with influencer's faces as part of a new ad campaign.
On Monday, “CBS Morning” spoke to the Tiktok star about the aftermath of this controversy and life as a transgender person, as well as dismantling transgender policies, in the new Trump administration and its executive order.

The Hit HBO series Transstar says that the updated passport says man after Trump's order
Trump signed a well-known executive order, taking office as “protecting women from gender ideological extremism and restoring biological truths to the federal government.” The order requires the federal government to recognize only two genders, male and female, based on the invariant biological characteristics that must be reflected in official documents such as passports.
The Department of State, responsible for passports, will no longer issue passports with “X” markers that are available since 2021 and do not respect requests to change gender markers between “M” and “F.” Since then, a group of transgender people, represented by the American Civil Liberties Union, has filed a lawsuit alleging that the policy violates privacy and the right to first amendment.
When asked about Trump's executive order, Mulbany was rebellious.
“I didn't change the way I think about myself because I'm a woman with my passport,” the influencer said. “We're not hurting anyone. We're less than a percent of the population, and the way they talk about us frequently is as if we take over a city like Godzilla. We're genuine selves.”

“CBS Mornings” also pointed to Trump's orders limiting gender reassignment procedures for young people under the age of 19.
“What do you say to those who question gender-affirming care that they believe is irreversible and can lead to problems later in life, causing regret?” asked CBS News correspondent Natalie Morales.
“I have no living experience with a trans child who could look for that care, but I believe that in the end, parents know their children better than the government,” replied Mulbany. “We should make those families understand what's best for them.”
