Travis Kelce’s Season Stats and Family Support

Ed Kelce has some words for those doubting his son, Travis Kelce. The 74-year-old took to social media to highlight the impressive performance of his youngest son this season. He shared, “If anyone is wondering how good Travis is playing, he leads all tight ends in total yards through Week 10.” This statement was made on Instagram.

As of Week 10, Kelce was leading the NFL among tight ends, but he slipped to second place after Week 12. Currently, he trails Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, who has recorded 80 receptions and 797 total yards.

Travis, at 36, has logged 674 yards this season. That puts him right behind McBride, with Indianapolis Colts rookie Tyler Warren coming in close at 662 yards. Kelce has had a strong comeback with 54 catches and four touchdowns, surpassing his touchdown total from last season. Somehow, he remains a reliable target for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, despite any signs of declining speed.

Interestingly, the four-time All-Pro had quieted retirement rumors last year after a tough Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, stating he would announce his playing intentions for 2026 before NFL free agency starts in March, allowing the team to prepare adequately.

In the Chiefs’ recent 23-20 win against the Colts, Kelce caught four passes for 43 yards. This victory moved the Chiefs to a 6-5 record, but they still find themselves outside playoff contention.

The team has a critical matchup coming up against the Dallas Cowboys, who stand at 5-5-1, and this game will be on Thanksgiving at 4:30 PM ET. For the Chiefs to stay in the playoff race, they really need to keep their spirits high through the remaining games this season.
