TreVeyon Henderson Appears to Back Jaden Ivey After He Was Released for Speaking Honestly About Pride Month

Treveyon Henderson’s jersey and stats? Yeah, I definitely want those.

The New England Patriots running back seems to be backing former Chicago Bulls guard Jaden Ivey. Recently, Ivey was let go after he expressed his views on NBA Pride Month. He called it “unrighteous,” which didn’t sit well with the organization.

Ivey shared a video on social media discussing his thoughts. He mentioned that it would be “an injustice” for the league to celebrate Pride Month. In response to news about Ivey’s firing, Henderson tweeted a Bible verse.

“‘Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven,’ Matthew 5:10,” he wrote.

Ivey has also been vocal in other videos over the past few weeks. He questioned why, if the world can openly declare LGBTQ identities and celebrate Pride Month, people can’t talk about justice in the same breath. “Who can call this man crazy?” he asked.

Henderson continued to share Bible-related messages. One post highlighted the idea that people may eventually stop listening to sound teachings, preferring instead to follow their own desires.

“There will soon come a time when people will no longer listen to sound and sound teachings. They will follow their own desires and look for teachers who will teach them whatever their ears itch. They will reject the truth and pursue myths,” he shared, quoting 2 Timothy 4:3-4.

In another post, he referenced how Jesus was viewed in his time: “Someone said, ‘He’s demon-possessed and insane. Why would you listen to a man like that?’”

In all this, Treveyon Henderson seems to really resonate with these messages. He’s certainly making an impression on me.
