Trudeau Government Cuts off Arms Sales to Israel

Canada’s government, led by Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, announced on Tuesday that it would end arms sales to Israel (as they currently are), bowing to pressure from radical leftists as Israel fights genocidal Palestinian terrorists.

according to Al Jazeera reports that Canada’s arms exports to Israel have been negligible, amounting to less than $90 million over the past nine years. “The majority of Canada’s military exports to Israel come in the form of parts and components.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz reacted angrily: according to Times of Israel:

“In the face of Hamas killers who have committed terrible crimes against humanity and against innocent Israelis, including the elderly, women and children, the Canadian government has taken no action to undermine Israel’s right to self-defense. “I’m sorry for the inconvenience,” he says. In a statement.

“History will judge Canada’s current actions harshly,” he says.

Prime Minister Trudeau has taken an inconsistent stance toward Israel in its war with Hamas. Canada has sided with Israel after South Africa began arguments at the International Court of Justice in The Hague in a case accusing Israel of “genocide.” But Canada also restored funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) after its staff were accused of participating in the October 7 terrorist attack against Israel.

Earlier this week, Canada’s parliament adopted a resolution calling for a two-state solution to the conflict, after left-wing politicians called for a stronger resolution to recognize a Palestinian state.
