Trump administration reduces Harvard grants by an additional $450 million, indicating the university has a difficult challenge ahead.

Harvard Grant Cancellation by Trump Administration

WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, the Trump administration revealed plans to revoke an additional $450 million grant to Harvard. This decision follows claims that Ivy League institutions have failed to adequately address issues of racism and anti-Semitism on their campuses.

A member of Trump’s Joint Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism stated, “There’s a serious issue at Harvard, and by focusing on settlements instead of accountability, the institution’s leaders have compromised the legitimacy of their claim to taxpayer support.”

The grant reductions are sourced from at least eight different federal agencies.

This action comes on the heels of a task force that includes members from the Department of Education, Health and Human Services, and the Department of General Services, which met last week.

Harvard representatives had no immediate comment on the situation.
