A Pennsylvania teenager had the “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” to meet President Biden and President Donald Trump within minutes of each other on Wednesday, going viral after recording a video of the commander in chief wearing a “Trump 2024” hat.
Schools in Shanksville were closed Wednesday as roads were closed for Biden and President Trump to visit a memorial for United Airlines Flight 93, one of the hijacked planes that crashed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
When 13-year-old Riley and a friend heard rumors that either Trump, 78, or Biden, 81, might stop by the Shanksville fire station during their trip, they decided to check it out.
“So, of course, all the Trump-supporting kids decided to dress up in MAGA clothes and go to the fire station hoping it was Trump, but it ended up being Biden,” Riley's mother, Jana Masser, told The Post on Thursday night.
Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, 59, were both among the first to enter with beer and pizza, but there was “no applause whatsoever” from the Democratic side, Reilly said.
While Biden wasn't the conservative celebrity guest the crowd was hoping for, Riley and the other kids there still got to pose for a great photo with the sitting president.
Biden appeared uncomfortable surrounded by about 16 young people, many of whom were wearing shirts supporting his Republican rival.
But despite being in a heavily Republican county and clearly enemy territory, Biden still managed to crack a few jokes.
One boy wore a pro-Trump shirt with the words “Idiot, Idiot and more Idiot” written over the faces of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Harris and Biden.
“So I guess I'm the dumber,” Biden joked, Riley said.
The boy also captured a now-viral video showing Biden putting on the man's “Trump 2024” hat in a bizarre exchange. The footage was shared by the Trump-Vance campaign, and the White House later confirmed that the president had put the hat on as a bipartisan gesture.
“The amazing thing is, a lot of people are posting videos on TikTok and I'm the one who made the videos. 1726225727 “Watching the video,” Riley said of the now-viral video.
Biden and Harris left shortly afterwards, but about 15 minutes later, Trump and his entourage arrived to cheers — a stark contrast to Biden's entrance, the teenager said.
Like his Democratic opponent, Trump shook hands with voters and took photos with all of the children, and Riley even got to take a selfie with the 45th president.
“[Ryleigh] “She sent me a photo while she was there and I couldn't believe it was her and Trump … I wasn't expecting that,” said Jana, a Trump supporter who wasn't in attendance Wednesday.
“We've always wanted to bring our kids to meet Trump and have a photo taken with him, and finally after all these years we were able to bring them together,” the mother of four added.
Shanksville, located in Somerset County in central Pennsylvania, is a deeply conservative area of the battleground state where more than 77% of voters supported Trump in the 2020 election.
Riley said it was a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to meet the two presidents in just a few minutes and have a photo taken with them.
Jana supports Trump, but: [Biden’s] People standing there with their kids and wanting to take pictures with them — even if the kids are wearing Trump shirts.”
