Former President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran would not have been able to attack Israel if he were still in the White House.
“Israel is under attack! This should never have been allowed to happen – if I was president, this would never have happened!” Trump wrote Truth Social.
The post was the first the former president shared following news of Saturday night’s attack, interspersed with notices about a planned rally in Pennsylvania.

President Trump also claimed that President Biden had recorded a speech about the attack on Iran, but that President Biden’s “leaders” saw President Trump’s scathing posts and decided not to release it.
“He’s trying to do it live now, probably tomorrow. He doesn’t want to leave his Delaware home in a Corvette!!!” Trump tweeted.
Biden was enjoying a beach weekend at his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Saturday when he was recalled to the White House in anticipation of an Iranian attack.
