President-elect Donald Trump's border czar is sending a “clear message” to sanctuary cities that oppose the incoming administration's tough border stance: “Get on board or get out of the way.”
Former Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tom Homan appeared on “Sunday Morning Futures” this week to discuss his next plan to reduce illegal immigrant crime and make communities across the country safer, despite backlash from Blue Cities. He explained his administration's future plans.
“San Diego is writing bills. Colorado and other states and other cities are saying they'll stop what we're doing. I want to send a clear message: If they allow us Prisons can arrest bad people in the safety of jails and prisons, which even a single police officer can do, but they cannot reintroduce behavior that threatens public safety back into the community. , would put me at risk. It puts our officers at risk,” he told the host. Maria Bartiromo.

“What's going to happen is, if you release that guy into the community, I'm going to send out a whole team to look for that guy in your community. And what's going to happen? We're going to send out a whole team to look for that guy in your community. Find the guy. And we find the guy, there's probably others who aren't a priority, but if they're in the country illegally, they'll be arrested too, because Because we're not going to say this to an immigration officer. [Biden] The government said it would turn its back on illegal immigration. When you're an immigration officer, you have an oath to uphold, so you push us into large communities where other non-priority aliens are going to be arrested.
“That's exactly the outcome you don't want. So put us in jail. It's safer for everyone.”
Homan, who has been an outspoken critic of the Biden administration's border policies, has vowed to stay true to President Trump's words by strengthening security and tackling mass deportations.

Officials in the Blue City are less enthusiastic about mass deportation plans and are fighting back in a variety of ways. The Boston City Council unanimously voted to step up efforts to block President Trump's mass deportation plan. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, all Democrats, were among those opposed by the crowd.
On the contrary, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced his intention to talk with Mr. Homan about how to make the streets of the Big Apple safer for everyone.
The two sides are scheduled to meet on Thursday. On this point, Homan said, “I think Mayor Adams' first responsibility is to protect the community, so I'm not surprised that he has a seat at the table.'' Other mayors and governors want to put up obstacles. I'm in shock,” he said. It's hard to believe that elected officials don't want to eliminate public safety threats from their communities, but we're going to get this done with or without working with them. ”
