Trump calls Harris’ meeting with Netanyahu ‘terrible and insulting’

Former President Trump on Saturday called Vice President Kamala Harris’ meeting with the Israeli prime minister “deeply insulting” and accused the White House of disrespecting its Mideast allies.

“Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had a terribly ‘insulting’ meeting in Washington with Senator Kamala Harris, who refused to preside over Congress during the Vice President’s speech, which is her duty as Vice President. This doesn’t happen very often,” Trump wrote on his social media site, Truth Social.

“Her incompetence will prolong the war and delay the release of the hostages,” the former president continued. “The same people who embarrassed us with their gross incompetence in Afghanistan are now telling Israel not to fight Hamas any more. They’re telling us to forget about October 7th!”

The post put the word “insulting” in quotation marks, but it is unclear whether Trump intended to quote the prime minister directly. Fox News Digital has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.

An Israeli official told Axios that Netanyahu was unhappy with Harris’ references to civilian deaths in Gaza and the “dire humanitarian situation on the ground.”

The White House refuted those reports on Friday, with an aide telling Fox News, “We don’t know what they’re talking about.”

Trump also reiterated his previously stated belief that he is the only reasonable candidate for Jewish Americans, and he said the same about Catholic Americans.

“Any Jews who vote for Kamala or any Democrat should have their heads checked immediately. Likewise, Catholics who are being persecuted by the current administration should not vote for the far-left Kamala. Vote for Trump in 2024. Make America Great Again!!!”
