Trump considers 'AMAZING' proposal to offer Palestinians $5K to depart Gaza during reconstruction efforts: report

Gaza Transformation Proposal Under Consideration

The White House is reportedly exploring a plan to allocate $5,000 to Palestinians for a decade as part of an initiative to transform the Gaza Strip into what President Trump envisions as the “Middle Eastern Riviera.”

This extensive proposal aims to revamp Gaza’s economy, requiring massive public and private investments. The idea includes the U.S. managing a 25-mile stretch of land for a minimum of ten years, with efforts focusing on trust and collaboration. The details have been described in the Washington Post.

Trump had previously labeled this area as a “free zone,” emphasizing a need for the U.S. to take charge of developing coastal regions along this “Riviera.”

To facilitate this transformation, the entire 2 million-strong population of Gaza would need to relocate temporarily. The plan suggests that this move would be voluntary, with Gazans able to secure zones in neighboring countries.

As an incentive, those who decide to leave will receive $5,000 in cash, have four years of rented accommodation covered, and receive food support for a year.

The initiative also proposes providing digital tokens to landowners in Gaza. These tokens would represent a one-bedroom apartment in new “AI-powered smart cities” being developed, effectively transferring property rights.

Financial projections for the plan indicate that each apartment is valued at around $75,000, resulting in a $23,000 savings for the trust for every relocation from Gaza.

Initial reconstruction efforts would focus on debris clearance, resolving issues with unexploded weapons, and restoring essential utilities like electricity.

Under the proposed trust, the U.S. would hold administrative powers in Gaza.

Interestingly, it has been noted that nearly 30% of Gaza’s land is already “publicly” owned, which would soon be incorporated into this trust to assist with early funding.

Funding for major projects, including highways, ports, airports, desalination plants, and solar energy setups, would come from private investors.

A planned roadway around Gaza, referred to as the “MBS Highway,” hints at potential investment from Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, although there’s currently no confirmation of Saudi support for the initiative.

The new downtown area in Gaza would feature residential spaces for returning residents along with businesses, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and green areas, incorporating farmland and parks.

On the eastern side of the strip, along the border with Israel, an industrial zone filled with electric vehicle factories and data centers is proposed.

The Mediterranean coastline is envisioned as the “Gaza Trump Riviera,” complete with luxury resorts and possibly artificial islands akin to those in Dubai.

An anticipated return of four times the initial $100 billion investment is forecasted within ten years, supported by a self-sustaining revenue system.

Notably, the plan states that it will not rely on direct funding from the U.S. government or depend on charitable contributions.

According to the proposal, the U.S. would hold administrative authority over Gaza, as mandated by a bilateral agreement with Israel. It asserts that foreign nations could evolve into what it describes as “multi-faceted institutions,” enhancing investments.

The first year of the plan would see Israel maintaining significant security rights, with local security managed by unnamed third-party citizens alongside civilian military contractors.

Ultimately, the local police would assume responsibility for everyday security matters.

The initiative also envisions a trust governing Gaza until local Palestinian governance is equipped to take over.

As of now, the White House has not publicly responded regarding these developments.
