Trump’s Rally in Arizona: A Call to Action for Voters

During a rally in Arizona on Wednesday, President Trump issued a strong warning to voters, claiming that Democrats would “destroy our country.” He criticized their behavior during the State of the Union and urged his supporters to ensure a Republican victory throughout the state.

As Election Day approaches, Trump expressed his support for Rep. Andy Biggs, the Republican candidate for governor, and other GOP contenders while campaigning in Bullhead City. He particularly targeted Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs, emphasizing the importance of winning in honor of Charlie Kirk.

“On election night, Arizona is going to prove that America does not belong to those who hate it,” Trump declared. “America belongs to those who love, love, love, love—love it.”

Biggs joined him on stage and reflected on Trump’s February address to Congress, accusing Democrats of failing to stand when Trump urged them to affirm their commitment to Americans.

“Vote Republican top to bottom,” Biggs encouraged the audience. “Let’s turn Arizona red.”

Trump took the opportunity to criticize the negative reaction from Democrats during the State of the Union, especially when a veteran was honored. He noted, “Not one Democrat smiled or clapped,” and remarked, “You people are crazy.” He added, “But that’s what we have. They’ll destroy our country.”

Trump’s comments combined various moments from the February address, where he awarded the Medal of Honor to retired Navy Capt. E. Royce Williams, who was 100 years old at the time.

He also acknowledged World War II veteran George “Buddy” Taggart. The tension during the address became apparent when Trump asked lawmakers to affirm that protecting American citizens was the government’s priority. Republicans stood, while many Democrats remained seated. Democratic Sen. John Fetterman mentioned he stood to recognize the honored guests, including veterans.

In his remarks on Wednesday, Trump didn’t hold back in his criticisms of Hobbs, whom Biggs is challenging, labeling her a “low IQ individual.”

Trump also praised Biggs’ running mate, former state Senator Sine Kerr, who is aiming to become Arizona’s first lieutenant governor, having been chosen for the role in July.

The president stressed the importance of electing Republican secretary of state candidate Alex Kolodin, calling him “a warrior for election integrity” and criticizing Democratic incumbent Adrian Fontes.

Looking at Kolodin, Trump joked about his appearance, saying, “You look good. Central casting, actually,” but then added that he looked “a little bit nerdy.”

Trump acknowledged Republican Reps. Paul Gosar, Abe Hamadeh, and Eli Crane, referring to Hamadeh and Crane as “warriors.” He also expressed support for congressional candidate Mark Lamb, calling him “a friend of mine” and encouraging voters to back him for Arizona’s 5th Congressional District.

The rally included a heartfelt tribute to Charlie Kirk, which coincided with what would have been the conservative activist’s 33rd birthday. “A great person, a great man, a great friend of mine,” Trump said, as the crowd chanted his name.

He offered support to Kirk’s widow, Erika, and their family, transforming the remembrance into a rallying cry to vote. “In Charlie’s honor, we want you to go out and vote,” he urged. “He’d be out there fighting like nobody else. So, let’s have a big victory in honor of Charlie Kirk.”
