Trump Criticizes Time Magazine Cover Despite Praise for Peace Deal

President Donald Trump’s peace agreement regarding Gaza has received unexpected commendation from some critics. However, he’s not holding back on expressing his displeasure with Time magazine, specifically about what he deems an unflattering cover photo.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump remarked early Tuesday morning, “Time magazine wrote a relatively good article about me, but this photo may be the worst one ever.” He added a humorous touch, noting that the angle made his hair look strange and described a small crown above his head as “really weird!”

Time’s November Issue Features Trump

The upcoming November 10 issue of Time magazine showcases Trump on its cover. The photo’s low-angle shot captures much of Trump’s neck, with his head partially obstructing sunlight. Ironically, the sunlight brightens his hair, blending it into the sky and overshadowing the magazine’s logo.

Despite receiving some positive feedback from sources like MSNBC, Trump continued his critique of the photo on social media, stating, “I never liked taking pictures from below.” He commented further, questioning the magazine’s intentions.

One of the featured articles in this issue delves into how Trump collaborated with his Cabinet to forge a peace deal between Israel and Hamas. Interestingly, while Trump often faces unflattering coverage from the publication, he was recognized as Person of the Year in both 2016 and 2024.

Just this week, Trump returned from visits to Israel and Egypt as the peace deal took effect and hostages were released. All 20 hostages held by Hamas, who were abducted during the October 7, 2023 attack, have now been freed, and Israel has reciprocated by releasing nearly 2,000 Palestinians.

Trump Calls the Deal a Historic Moment

Describing the agreement as a significant turning point, Trump called it “the moment that changed everything.” He emphasized its importance during a speech to the Israeli parliament, stating, “This is not just the end of war. This is the end of the age of fear and death, and the beginning of the age of faith, hope, and God.”
