Former President Trump will be heading to Arizona later this month to speak at a Republican event there.

The Freedom Fest event will be held three days after the New Hampshire Republican primary.
President Trump's visit to the state highlighted the importance of Arizona as one of the few battleground states that will determine this fall's presidential election. Trump won Arizona by four points in 2016, but lost to President Biden in 2020 by three-tenths of a point.
President Trump's visit to Arizona is indicative of the thinking of his campaign, which is already focused on the general election against Biden as it looks ahead to the Republican primary.
Arizona will also have one of the most competitive Senate races of the season, with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (Arizona) seeking re-election.
Sinema has not yet announced whether he plans to run again, but Republicans Kari Lake and Mark Lamb are also running, along with Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.).
