Former President Trump told reporters in California on Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris gave “one of the dumbest answers” when asked to speak about the effects of inflation at the start of this week's presidential debate.
“The first question she got in the debate was one of the dumbest answers. They were asking about price, asking if it was better for you now or four years ago,” Trump said in Rancho Palos Verdes during a visit to Harris' hometown.
“Prices are higher than anybody's ever seen before. And the concept of getting richer, she didn't answer. She talked about when she was growing up. Nobody had any idea what the hell she was talking about,” Trump said.
Regarding his own performance, Trump said, “I thought the debate was great,” adding, “I thought I did very well, but I was up against three people.”

“I was up against the crazy left wing extremists at ABC, who in my opinion are the worst, the worst anchors,” he declared.
“I come to California today to deliver a very simple message to the American people: You cannot allow Comrade Kamala Harris and the Communist Left to do to America what they did to California,” Trump said.
“California is in chaos. People are leaving and there's nothing to stop it. They go to other states. Some go to other countries. But what they've done is [Gov.] “Gavin Newsom and Kamala, and I want to say Kamala more, she's destroyed San Francisco, she's destroyed the state,” he added.
“When you look at the vandalism that's happening right now, you see that it's all man-made, or feminine vandalism, and it should never have happened,” Trump said, “but I'm not going to allow it to happen while she's in the White House for another four years.”

“San Francisco can be rebuilt just as our country can be rebuilt, because our country is in decline. The decline of this entire state is one of those sad episodes of far-left lunatics that we have to put up with,” Trump said.
He also described Harris as the “godmother of sanctuary cities” during her time as San Francisco's district attorney and “at the very forefront of the police defunding movement.”
“Kamala refused to seek the death penalty for the gang member who killed San Francisco Police Officer Isaac Espinosa during a traffic stop. He didn't have the courtesy to call Officer Espinosa's family to explain his decision – he never did. Why did he do this? Why give so much leniency to someone who just killed a police officer?” Trump said.

“This is the primary reason why the San Francisco Police Officers Association has refused to endorse her in every election since she became district attorney. The police department does not support her and she currently has virtually no supporters,” he added.
