Trump Introduces America.gov for Simplified Access to Government Services

On September 29, 2026, President Donald Trump launched America.gov, described as “a single digital point of entry” for U.S. citizens to access federal government information and services online with the help of an artificial intelligence (AI) tool.

The White House elaborated that America.gov aims to simplify the process of accessing various online government services, ultimately saving citizens time otherwise spent navigating through a multitude of federal websites.

“Instead of forcing citizens to search through the endless maze of tens of thousands of terrible government websites and rules, and more than ten thousand forms — you have over ten thousand forms to do basic acts — you’ll now have one front door for every single question,” Trump mentioned during a press conference.

The president highlighted that the new website is expected to provide greater accuracy, addressing the common issues of confusion that arise from existing government websites.

“Some of it’s so bad, so cumbersome, so unavailable that you’re forced to make mistakes and sometimes you get in trouble because you make those mistakes,” he remarked.

According to officials, Americans collectively spend around 10 billion hours every year dealing with federal paperwork.

“We’re giving those ten billion hours back to the American people,” Trump asserted.

America.gov is designed with a diverse audience in mind, catering to everyone from older adults to veterans.

“Whether you’re a scout leader who wants to reserve a campsite at a national park, a senior citizen trying to choose a Medicare plan, or an American veteran trying to get the benefits that you’ve earned and so justly deserve, America.gov will be there to help,” he stated.

To protect users’ privacy, the website employs various measures. It explained that when a question is asked, its AI model conducts searches on government sites securely. Additionally, it aims to filter out personal details from attachments uploaded by users.

“It’s built from the ground up with your privacy and security totally in mind,” Trump clarified. “They’ve used a brand-new technology… to ensure that your personal information is not collected or stored and your conversation disappears when you leave and everything stays totally private.”

On the topic of AI, which Trump suggested may soon be referred to as “Super Intelligence (SI),” he expressed that the U.S. will leverage new technologies for its advantage.

“We do not surrender to fears about what technologies will do to us. We decide what those technologies will do for us—some very, very incredible things,” he stated.

“We never retreat from a frontier; we never shrink from a challenge; we push forward and build a world that is bigger, better, faster, and smarter than it has ever been before,” he continued.

After his comments, Trump signed an executive order establishing America.gov and integrating federal agencies with the new platform.
