Trump leads Biden by 7 points in Arizona: Poll

A new poll shows former President Trump leading President Biden by seven points in Arizona.

The former president kicked off his campaign last week, galvanizing voters in Phoenix, shortly after being found guilty in a criminal trial over hush money payments.

While Republican front-runner Trump is leading the poll, 9% of Arizonans said they would choose someone other than Trump or Biden. About 3% were undecided, the poll found.

With the addition of third-party candidates, including independents Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Trump’s approval rating would drop to 41%. Biden would also lose support, dropping to 37%, according to the poll.

The economy and border security are the top issues for Copper State voters, according to the survey, with about 62% of respondents saying they support sending troops to the state’s southern border with Mexico to stop migrants from crossing the border illegally.

Arizona is one of the states where President Trump and his allies have allegedly tried to overturn the results of the 2020 election, and concerns about the integrity of the election remain a key issue, with 60% of respondents fearing fraud will also affect the November election.

According to The Hill/Decision Desk Polling Index, Trump has a 60 percent chance of winning the state this time.

The Rasmussen poll was conducted June 11-13 among 750 Arizona voters and has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
