Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk spoke about the importance of their interview with former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk on Monday and how it “destroyed” the left-leaning media, who Marlow said “desperately” don’t want the public to see “this interview.”
“I [Musk] “It was incredible to watch him stick his neck out and solidify the conversation from de facto liberals to bona fide supporters of the Trump camp, the MAGA camp. He was very classy, very bold,” Marlowe said in an interview Tuesday. episode of The Charlie Kirk Show.
“Our COO, John, brought up an interesting point. [Musk] “He doesn’t need to do that. He can do anything in life. He’s a businessman, he’s got all the money in the world, he’s got lots of great friends. He doesn’t need to stick his neck out for Donald Trump. With his business he’s going to be fine no matter who’s president,” Marlowe continued.
“But he decided to take this step out of what he felt was principle, and that’s really a great thing and that’s what we’re about,” the editor-in-chief added.
Kirk interjected, asking Marlowe, “Why do you think the media is reacting to this the way they are?”
“People are obsessed with Kamala Harris’ victory, and the best way to get that story out now is to tell people they don’t need to watch this,” Marlow said, “because anyone who watches this is going to see two authentic, charismatic people speaking as authorities on expertise in a conversational way that Kamala Harris never could.”
“And it’s contagious,” Marlowe added. “When people see that, they’re going to be drawn to these two.” [the establishment press] They can’t allow that to happen, so they have to act as if this was some kind of disaster, especially since in fact it was the opposite.”
Kirk then USA Today article Rex Hapke pointed out that this looks more like a “rage post on Reddit” than an actual news headline.
“Trump incoherently slurs during Elon Musk interview. A complete disaster,” read the erroneous headline, accompanied by an emotional lead that read, “For a billionaire with a penchant for fascism and a penchant for cozying up to right-wing lunatics, Elon Musk is really good at making fun of right-wing politicians.”
“can’t believe it USA Today “Posting stuff like this,” Marlowe responded, with Kirk adding, “As a news article!”
“This is why they’re making massive cuts,” Marlowe noted. “The media is dysfunctional. Charlie, we broke the news. We didn’t just break the Biden story.”
Marlow added that the mainstream media is “trying desperately to make sure no one actually watches the interview” because if they did, they would find Musk “totally agree” and hear the SpaceX CEO opine on a topic in which he has expertise.
“[Musk] “He only gave his opinion on areas he is an expert on, like energy, but it was really interesting,” he said. “If you’re a podcast lover, it’s great to hear him talk about oil and green energy and how he doesn’t hate the oil industry. He praises the oil industry, but he thinks the future is solar power and he explains why. It’s really interesting to listen to.”
Marlow added that Trump’s comments were also “spot on,” recalling that the 45th president “blamed Tim Walz over the tampon issue” and “blamed Biden and Harris for the Ukraine war.”
“These are shocking points that the public doesn’t know about,” Marlow said. “He points out that more people have died from the coronavirus under Biden than under Trump. If you watch the interview, you’ll hear these things and like Trump and Musk even more.”
So by writing a headline like that, Hapke is “desperately saying, ‘Don’t watch this, don’t do anything other than watch this interview,'” Murrow said.
