Trump names Fox News's Laura Ingraham, Maria Bartiromo to Kennedy Center board

Last month, President Trump announced on Friday that Fox News hosts Lowline Graham and Maria Bartiromo will be appointed to the Kennedy Center board of directors.

“We are pleased to announce that Laura Ingraham and Maria Bartilomo will be joining the Kennedy Center Board, which completes our choice,” Trump said. I wrote about the true society. “We look forward to bringing the Center back to greatness and leading the golden age of America. Together, we will make art wonderful again!”

Trump's appointment comes amidst the backlash and upheaval over the recent acquisition of the Washington, DC performance venue. Last month, Trump slammed himself to lead the Kennedy Center, kicked out several long-term board members and set up a special mission, Richard Grenell's envoy as interim executive director of the center.

“It makes the Kennedy Center a very special and exciting place!” he said at the time.

Several celebrities, including comedian and television host Whoopi Goldberg, announced boycotts of the venue.

This week, the producers of the hit broadway show “Hamilton” canceled an upcoming show at the Kennedy Center. Lead producer Jeffrey Seller said the center is a “sacred” setting that should be “protected from politics.”

“Given the recent actions, our show cannot conscientiously become part of this new culture imposed on the Kennedy Center.”said in a statement.

Ingraham and Baltiromo are the latest Fox News anchors to which Trump has been promoted to a new role since they revived their offices in January. In particular, Fox host Pete Hegseth is currently serving as Secretary of Defense.

Other new members of the Kennedy Center Board include Trump Chief Susie Wills, Dan Scavino, former vice chief of staff and Second Lady Usha Vance.
