Former President Donald Trump is outperforming President Joe Biden on a range of important issues, a recent ABC/IPSOS poll found.
investigation Asked Respondents said they trusted Trump or Biden more to handle a range of important domestic issues, including crime, immigration, the economy and guns.
Overall, Americans appear to have more trust in Trump than Biden to handle some of the most pressing issues of the day. For example, 43% trust Trump to run the economy, while 31% say the same about Biden, giving Trump a +12 advantage.
Forty-one percent said they trust Trump to successfully address the country’s crime problem, compared to 28% for Biden. Mr. Trump also has an 8-point lead on his response to inflation, 10 points on immigration, 18 points on immigration, and 1 point on gun violence. We have a three-point advantage against Israel and Hamas, and a three-point advantage against Ukraine and Russia.
Biden appears to have an advantage on issues traditionally more important to the left. For example, Biden has a 17-point lead on climate change, 9 points on abortion, 10 points on health care, 7 points on education, and 10 points on classified documents. Reliance on classified documents is ironic given the bombshell report from Special Counsel Robert Hur. Biden is too mentally incompetent They plan to indict Biden in the classified documents scandal, pointing out that there were several instances in which he had extremely poor memory.
