First on FOX: President Donald Trump on Monday called for a potential holdout of plans to avoid government shutdowns at the end of this week, White House officials confirmed with Fox News Digital.
Three sources say Trump World is calling Capitol Hill ahead of Tuesday afternoon's vote.
The two senior Republicans said they hope Trump will speak directly to critics of the bill before Tuesday's vote.

The House and Senate must pass the bill by the end of Friday and take it to Trump's desk to avoid partial government shutdowns.
Two sources said Trump's aides are in contact with lawmakers who can vote against the bill, but a third source said the White House called a reliable “yes” vote to ensure Republicans “prove a unified front” while they voted.
“I'm sure the president is making the phone,” a senior Senate Republican told Fox News Digital.
But as of late Monday afternoon, the pressure campaign had not reached all suspected home GOP lawmakers.
One GOP lawmaker who said the bill was undecided said he had never heard of it from White House or House leaders.

The Act is a rough extension of the FY2024 funding level known as the “Continuous Resolution” (CR).
Republicans have traditionally rejected large numbers of CRS and frequently advocated “regular orders” that include 12 annual budget bills written by Congress.
However, unlike previous CR votes, House Democrat leaders have shown that the left will not vote against shutting down governments like normal over the past two years.
Democrat leaders accused Republicans of using CR to pave the way for Trump and Elon Musk to carry out the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) efforts.
Next year, at least some medium Democrats running in competitive races could vote to avoid shutdowns, but Republicans are expected to mostly bear their burden.
At least one Republican, Rep. Thomas Massey, R-KY. is already opposed. He writes to X, “Unless you win a lobotomy on Monday, you'll be no to CR this week unless you let them forget what you've seen in the last 12 years.”
It is not immediately clear whether the White House gave Massey a private overture for his vote, and his spokesman immediately did not reply to a request for comment.

But former Trump campaign manager Chris Rashivita responded to him with a pointed message to X: “Tickkk Tommie.”
Meanwhile, the third House Republican said he would not be surprised if Trump had called out, but was unhappy with what he saw as a recurring political theatre by opponents.

“You have a handful of these members who view yourself as 'purists'. If we all just shared their vision, all the problems we faced would magically disappear. This act is old! “The House Republican said. “Can you imagine that you just shut down the government between a unified government because you can't get an agreement from your home?”
Fox News Digital reached out to speaker Mike Johnson's office and the White House for comment, but did not respond to the reporting time.
House Republicans released the 99-page text of the ongoing resolution on Saturday.
Trump previously reportedly said patrol officer, R-Ind, after a long-term call with two people holding out. and was believed to have helped the House Republican framework due to a massive conservative budget overhaul over a long-term telephone call with Tim Barchett (R-Tenn).
