President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly considering shaking up even the White House press office, according to his son Donald Trump Jr.
Trump Jr. told Daily Wire host Michael Knowles: discussed Possibilities with his father have also been considered, and potential successors such as podcaster Joe Rogan have also been floated.
“I would like to have Mr. Logan attend White House press conferences. Or I would like Mr. Logan to be rotated out.”
“I wonder if your father is putting together a team right now,” Knowles told Trump Jr. “I think maybe Caroline Leavitt is looking at the new press room chart. Maybe. “Maybe it's time to rearrange that table. Maybe we'll take some seats away.”
“So, we're going to announce the news here,” Trump Jr. responded, adding that he thinks Trump might replace the mainstream media with figures like Knowles and Rogan.
“I would like to see Mr. Logan attend the White House press conference. Or I would like to see Mr. Logan removed from the rotation,” he added.
“We've talked about opening up the press room to a lot of independent journalists,” Trump Jr. continued. “If the New York Times lies, is bad at everything, and functions as a marketing arm for the Democratic Party, why not open it up to people with larger audiences and stronger supporters? I wonder?”
Trump appeared on Rogan's show just before Election Day as part of his strategy to get male votes to the ballot box. Vice President Kamala Harris was invited to appear on a hugely popular podcast, but she declined. Campaign aides later said they feared angering the far left in the party, which despises Mr. Rogan and his podcast.
