Former President Trump said in an exclusive interview with Fox News' “Sunday Morning Futures” that the migrant crisis at the southern border is “a bigger issue” this election cycle than the inflation and economic hardships that have swayed voters in recent years. It is likely to become a problem, he said.

“We have tremendous support. They're tired of seeing what's happening to this country. They're tired of seeing incompetence, they're tired of seeing borders. And maybe even borders. I think it's a bigger problem than inflation,” Trump said. In an interview with Fox News Business anchor Maria Bartiromo, he was asked about his message to undecided voters.

President Trump joined Bartiromo in an interview that aired Sunday, just 22 days before Election Day. Trump's interview was wide-ranging, touching on topics such as taxes, tariffs on foreign countries, his stance on abortion, and foreign affairs such as the ongoing war in Israel.

“And inflation is a big word. And a bad economy is a big one. Inflation has made the economy bad and made life impossible for people. But millions of people… When I look at the influx of people coming into this country and the 13,099 murderers, many of whom have murdered multiple people, I think, in fact, the border is the economic I think it's a bigger problem than that,” Trump continued in the interview.

Trump said the White House's response to the hurricanes that devastated states such as North Carolina, Georgia and Florida, as well as the border and inflation, will speak louder to voters.

“I think the other really big issue is how bad they've been against parts of North Carolina and Georgia. If you look at what's happened, what's going on in Florida State. You see, I think we were a little bit lucky.''I mean it was bad, but it wasn't as bad as they thought it was,'' President Trump said.

“The response from the White House has been absolutely terrible. Her response has been terrible, more than they could have hoped for, you see. [Gov. Ron DeSantis] I didn't want her to be in Florida. They don't even come here. So I think we're doing really well,” he added.
