President Trump issued a memo Friday retracting security clearances for more than 12 individuals, including former President Joe Biden and his whole family, former Vice President Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton.
“I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access the classified information,” Trump wrote in a memo to the head of the executive department and agency before naming those who prohibit him from receiving classified information.
The list includes his three former presidential opponents, Clinton, Biden and Harris – and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York State Attorney General Letitia James.
Former Biden administration officials Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan and Lisa Monaco are also on the list.
“I here direct all enforcement departments and agents to take all additional steps consistent with existing laws to revoke the aggressive security clearances held by the aforementioned individuals and immediately revoke access to classified information,” Trump, 78 wrote.
The president also ordered the executive branch and agency directors to “revoke non-escape access to secure US government facilities from these individuals.”
