Trump rips ‘lazy as hell’ Kamala Harris 2 weeks before Election Day

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday called Vice President Kamala Harris “lazy as hell” for not having a campaign event on her schedule just two weeks before Election Day.

“She's sleeping right now. She couldn't go on the trail,” Trump, 78, told Latino supporters gathered at a Miami-area golf resort.

“With 14 days left, you won't be able to sleep,” Trump continued.

“We've been going for 52 days in a row. We're planning to go for 14 more days. Hopefully we'll have a big celebration party.”

Harris, 60, had no speeches or public appearances on her schedule Tuesday.

She was scheduled to record two interviews, according to daily reporting guidelines released by the vice president's office. The first interview with NBC's Harry Jackson will be recorded at 3:40 p.m., and the first will be aired on “NBC Nightly News” around 6:30 p.m. The other one starts at 4 p.m. Afternoon: 30:30 with Julio Vaqueiro from Telemundo.

After leaving Florida, President Trump was scheduled to hold an evening rally in Greensboro, North Carolina.

“I said, 'Where is she campaigning today?' 'Sir, she's off,'” President Trump said at a Latino-focused event.

“The president has 14 days left in his term, and she's taking one day off. This is not what you want.”

Trump returned to Harris' lighter schedule multiple times during the morning's events.

“I was going to hit her hard on the trail today, but I don't have to do that now because she's off. She's off,” he said.

“I just can't get over it. With 14 days left, who's going to take the day off? And she's going to take a few more days off. Do you know why? She's lazy as hell and has a reputation for being lazy as hell.” “Because there is,” he said.

Harris visited three battleground states on Monday and recorded two interviews on Tuesday. AP

On Monday, Harris traveled to three battleground states (Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin) with former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) to appeal to suburban voters and disaffected Republicans.

On Wednesday, Veep is scheduled to participate in an evening CNN town hall, in a time slot originally reserved for a debate with Trump, who declined to participate.

Harris' campaign had no immediate comment.

Her agents are having a busy day since the Democratic candidate dropped out of the race on Tuesday. Former President Barack Obama will be in Wisconsin and Michigan, Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz will hold two events in the Badger State, and President Biden will join Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) Appeared at an event in New Hampshire.
