“She agreed to stop immigration into the United States through Mexico, effectively closing our southern border,” the president-elect added.

Trump, 78, said he had a “very productive conversation” with Pardo that also discussed illegal drugs entering the United States from south of the border.

“We also discussed the large influx of drugs into the United States and what can be done to stop the United States from consuming these drugs.”

“It was a very productive conversation!”

Earlier this week, President Trump announced plans to impose a 25% tariff on Mexican imports to crack down on illegal immigration and drug smuggling.
