Trump Says Pressuring Russia To End Ukraine War, Claims Concessions

Washington:

US President Donald Trump said Thursday that he is putting pressure on Russia to end the Ukrainian war, and argued that it was a “big concession” for Moscow to agree that he will not take over the entire country.

Trump issued the unusual responsibilities of Russian leader Vladimir Putin after Moscow fired a barrage of missiles and drones in Kiev, killing at least 12 people in the most deadly attack on the Ukrainian capital in months.

“We put a lot of pressure on Russia, and Russia knows that,” Trump said.

Asked about the concessions Russia offered, Trump said, “We’ll stop the war and stop the entire country from taking away. Quite a big concession.”

In response to the attack on Kiev, he said: “I didn’t like it last night. I wasn’t happy with it. And we spoke peace and the missile was fired.”
