Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen said Monday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that the former president is “the most dangerous person in America to national security and democracy.”
Guest host Michael Steele said, “One of the things that Trump’s lawyers said in their filing is that they visited nearly 30 bond issuers, and none of them, to your point, “It means they were reluctant to accept real estate as collateral.” If so, where will he get the more than $454 million to pay for this? ”
Mr. Cohen said: “You have bigger problems than that. As Americans, we have to be very concerned first and foremost about where that money is coming from. Yes, we know those companies, they are American companies. But what if it comes from a back channel from Saudi Arabia or Qatar or Russia? This leaves potential presidential candidates, hear me out on this, presidential candidates basically incurring debt to foreign companies at the expense of America’s national security. is not a joke.”
He added: “This puts our national security at risk, and Donald Trump continues to be identified as the most dangerous person in America to our national security and our democracy.”
