Trump slams Biden for saying Israel shouldn't target Iranian nuclear sites: 'The craziest thing I've ever heard'

Former President Trump criticized President Biden for saying that Israel should not target Iran's nuclear facilities, insisting that the commander-in-chief's comments were “not the right answer.”

“I mean, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard. That's the biggest risk we have. The biggest risk we have is nuclear,” Trump said Thursday. He spoke in an interview with Fox News correspondent Bill Melgin shortly before the rally in Saginaw, Michigan.

“So to make a statement, leave their core alone,” the Republican candidate continued. “I'm telling you that's not the right answer. It was the craziest answer. Very soon they're going to have nuclear weapons, and then there's going to be trouble.”

The former president's remarks came as Iran fired a barrage of missiles at Israel on Tuesday, an attack that appeared to be over within an hour of starting. Biden said Wednesday that he would not support the Jewish state attacking Iran's nuclear facilities.

“All seven of us agree that we have a right to respond, but we should respond proportionately,” Biden said, referring to the Group of Seven (G7) nations. The president said his administration was in contact with Israeli officials following the missile attack.

The Republican nominee on Tuesday criticized Biden and his current political rival, Vice President Harris, saying that if Biden had been commander in chief, the attack would not have happened and that if Harris wins in November, “the world will go up in smoke.” “It's going to be rolled up,” he suggested. ”

“I've been talking about World War III for a long time, but I don't want to make predictions, because predictions always come true,” Trump said. “But they are very close to a global catastrophe. We have a non-existent president and a non-existent vice president who should be in charge. But no one knows what's going on. She was at a fundraiser in San Francisco.
