Presidential Warning Following Iranian Attacks
In the wake of deadly Iranian assaults over the weekend, President Donald Trump issued a clear warning, promising to respond to any future attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz by targeting significant Iranian infrastructure.
“From now on, if Iran attacks any ship in the Strait of Hormuz—whether with missiles, drones, or any other weapon—the U.S. will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, even those in or near the Capital City of Tehran,” the president shared on Truth Social that Wednesday morning.
This warning comes after the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported launching precision strikes on Iran for the 11th consecutive night.
The latest operation, lasting just over an hour, focused on various Iranian military assets, including aircraft hangars and facilities used for drone storage and military logistics.
“In the last three months, Iran has attacked over 30 commercial vessels in this crucial waterway, essential for both regional and global trade,” CENTCOM stated on Tuesday. “These unjustified attacks have endangered countless innocent sailors and disrupted freedom of navigation.”
Despite these hostilities, CENTCOM maintains that the strait remains open for commercial use.
The president’s warning also followed the unfortunate deaths of four U.S. service members over the weekend. An attack on Friday in Jordan resulted in the deaths of three soldiers: Private First Class Isabella Gonzales, 19, 1st Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan, 25, and Sergeant Angel Sarah Rampersad, 28.
Reportedly, Gonzales was honored with a posthumous promotion to private first class, while Feehan was promoted to captain. Rampersad had previously been reported as missing in action before being declared believed deceased. CENTCOM confirmed that unidentified remains were recovered at the incident site in Jordan but did not provide further details.
In Iraq, Sergeant Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, lost his life during a “controlled detonation” of a downed Iranian drone, with further reports indicating he would be promoted to staff sergeant.
In response to the fatalities, Trump asserted, “Every time Iran kills an American soldier, they will pay for that killing many times over!”
