Trump Urges Iranians to Seize Control Amid U.S.-Israel Military Action

President Donald Trump has urged the Iranian population to “take control” of their government as the United States, alongside Israel, embarks on what they have termed “Operation Epic Fury.” This announcement marks a significant heightening of tensions between the U.S. and Iran.

This military operation commenced shortly after 9 a.m. local time, which many are watching closely. In remarks shared via Truth Social, President Trump directly addressed the Iranian citizens, telling them that it was time to claim their future.

“The moment for freedom is almost here. Evacuate. Stay indoors; it’s dangerous outside, as bombs are falling everywhere. Once we finish, take over your government—it’s yours,” he stated. He emphasized that this might be a rare opportunity for the people of Iran, one that they should not miss. He pointed out that for years, they’ve sought American assistance, which has often fallen flat. “Now, you have a president willing to provide what you seek,” he said.

President Trump articulated that the U.S. stands with overwhelming force and destructive power behind the Iranian people, pushing for them to take charge of their own lives. “The time to act is now. Don’t let it pass by,” he urged.

He also highlighted that the operation’s goal was to shield American lives by neutralizing what he called an immediate threat from a “violent” Iranian regime. Nevertheless, he didn’t shy away from acknowledging the potential for American casualties, asserting that losses are part of war. “We’re not doing this just for now; we’re doing it for the future,” he noted, labeling the mission as a noble endeavor to stop radical threats to U.S. security.

In his address, Trump criticized failed negotiations with Iran over its nuclear ambitions and condemned the country as “the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism.” He reiterated his administration’s stance that Iran should never possess nuclear weapons. “Let me be clear: They can never have nuclear weapons,” he emphasized.

Trump aims to dismantle Iran’s military capabilities and has issued a stringent warning to members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He urged them to surrender and accept protective measures or face severe consequences.

This military action follows Trump’s recent public dissatisfaction regarding ongoing nuclear negotiations, implying a sense of urgency. With direct talks taking place, he has made it clear that serious actions would ensue if no agreement is reached by the deadline he set a week ago.

Trump firmly stated, “This is mass terrorism, and we will not tolerate it any longer,” underlining the administration’s firm stance against the Iranian regime.
