Trump Criticizes Netflix Over Susan Rice’s Comments

Former President Donald Trump has urged Netflix to promptly dismiss director Susan Rice or face potential repercussions.

This call to action came after Rice’s remarks on the “Stay Tuned with Preet” podcast, hosted by former federal prosecutor Preet Bharara. During the discussion, she expressed concerns about businesses that capitulate to Republican demands, suggesting they shouldn’t expect any leniency from Democrats when they regain power.

Rice stated, “This cannot be an example of forgiving and forgetting. The harm these people are doing is too great for the American people and our national interests.”

It’s still unclear what specific measures the Trump administration might take in response to Rice’s statements.

Netflix has not offered a comment regarding this situation.

Rice elaborated on her thoughts, explaining that some companies appear to be withdrawing from diversity and governance initiatives under pressure from Republican leaders. She warned that if these organizations think Democrats will act as if nothing happened when they come back into power, they might be mistaken. “They need to consider what they’ve done,” she added.

Rice, who has served as a U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, also hinted at upcoming “accountability challenges” for these companies, especially in light of shifting political tides ahead of the midterm elections. She pointed to waning public support for Trump’s economic and immigration strategies as part of her argument.
