Trump Visits U.S. Park Police Anacostia Operations Facility

President Donald Trump visited the U.S. Park Police Anacostia Operations Facility in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, engaging with over 300 federal and local law enforcement officials, including members of the National Guard. He expressed appreciation for their efforts in tackling crime and introduced a new “glorification” project aimed at enhancing the city.

During his remarks, Trump thanked the personnel for their support in his administration’s crime-fighting initiatives. He shared plans to revitalize city parks, suggesting they could be redesigned to reflect the aesthetics of his golf course.

“We have life, we have life, and the grass here died about 40 years ago,” he remarked. “At the end of the year, for example, this place will be the biggest in terms of beauty.”

Accompanied by personnel from various agencies including the DEA, ATF, and the FBI, Trump praised those on the front lines of maintaining safety.

“Your people are winners, and I think it’s a great honor to be with you. We’re going to make Washington, D.C. great again. We’re always with you. As long as I’m around, we’ll be with you,” he declared.

He also mentioned his intention to seek congressional funding for federal initiatives in D.C. to further enhance the capital’s appeal.

“We’re going to have the highest capital ever,” he asserted. “It looks better than before. We’re going back to Congress for some money, and we’re going to redo a lot of the pavement, median.”

In addition, Trump announced plans to improve City Park with upgraded irrigation systems and to update signage throughout the city.

During his visit, he treated the law enforcement officials to burgers and pizza, stating the pizza was ordered from a well-regarded local establishment. Trump expressed his eagerness to dine with them before they resumed their duties.

“We’re going to celebrate, and we’re going to go back to work,” he noted.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegses also joined the trip, meeting with the National Guard to discuss their ongoing role in ensuring the city’s safety.

“God blesses these brave men and women who are guarding the capital of our nation,” Hegses wrote, sharing a photo from the event.
