President Trump on Monday suggested that if all hostages held in Gaza are not released by the weekend, it could end a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, and if the deal doesn't end, he said, “All.” I warn him that hell will break out.”
“As far as I'm concerned, if all hostages aren't returned at 12am on Saturday – I think it's the right time – I'll cancel it, all bets are off, and hell breaks out,” Trump said. He told reporters in the oval office after signing the executive order.
“And if they're not returned – they're all not dripping or monotony, not two, one, three and two, and two. Saturday at 12pm. And then I'd say all hell will break out. I'll say it,” he added.
Speculating that many of the hostages were already dead, Trump revealed what he was talking about for himself and that Israel could nullify him.
Trump asked reporters: “All hell is erupting.”
In mid-January, Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire that Hamas filmed on October 7, 2023, including the release of hostages, attacks in Israel and the release of more than 1,000 Palestinians in Israeli prisons.
About half of the individuals involved in the hostage release have been released as part of the contract, Hamas said Monday Postponed indefinitely He accused the Israeli hostage of release and the Israeli government of violating the ceasefire agreement.
The move threatened to derail a ceasefire that was already on fragile footing. In addition to the hostage release, the ceasefire agreement calls for Israel to withdraw its troops from Gaza in the coming weeks. However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials have said they will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas is completely destroyed.
Trump may have more complicated issues these days as he has pushed for proposals for the US to take over and develop the Gaza Strip. He said Palestinians will be moved to Jordan, Egypt and other Arab countries, and Gaza will be cleaned up and rebuilt, causing a push from allies in the region.
