Trump Welcomes Polish President to the White House

President Donald Trump received Polish President Karol Naulocki at the White House on Wednesday, noting that trade discussions would be part of their meeting. Naulocki, who secured Trump’s backing in this year’s Polish presidential election, arrived around 11:30 AM, where Trump greeted him on the south lawn, paying homage to a Polish fighter pilot amidst F-16 and F-35 flyovers.

Before sharing a private lunch in the cabinet room, Trump and Naulocki held a brief session with reporters in the Oval Office, a customary part of state visits during Trump’s presidency.

Trump expressed admiration for Naulocki, stating, “The president is amazing. He had an incredible race—he came from behind and won convincingly. The Polish people quickly embraced him. They really love him. There is great love and respect.” He added, “He’s very successful, but entering politics is tough. It’s a pretty rough field, and he came out on top. He becomes even more popular as people get to know him.”

Trump emphasized the importance of trade and other issues under discussion with Naulocki. “I don’t support too many people, but I did support him and I’m proud of his efforts,” he said. He expressed gratitude to Vince Haley for that endorsement, highlighting the positive reception of Naulocki by the Polish people.

In turn, Naulocki thanked Trump for his support during the election, mentioning the significance of their relationship. “I believe we have a strong link. It means a lot to me,” he noted. He further remarked on the backing from the Polish diaspora in the United States, emphasizing its impact on their mutual support.
