Former President Donald Trump has suggested his 2024 Republican opponent will soon drop out of the race and called President Biden a “broken pile of garbage” in a leaked video.
Video clips, Obtained by The Daily BeastThe 78-year-old Republican presidential candidate sits in a golf cart with his son, Barron Trump, in the passenger seat as he criticizes the 81-year-old president and offers his analysis of the state of the race.
The video begins with Trump holding a stack of cash and asking a group of people off-camera, “How did the debate go?”
The crowd applauded the former president’s actions before Trump slammed Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“We kicked that old, broken pile of junk out,” Trump told the crowd gathered around his golf cart.
“He’s a bad guy,” he added of Biden.
“He just quit. He’s withdrawing from the race,” Trump continued. “I got rid of him. That means Kamala won.”
“I think she can do better,” the former president argued, launching an attack on the 59-year-old vice president.
“She’s really bad,” he said. “Really pathetic. Really awful.”
Trump then turned his attention back to the president.
“That man [Russian President Vladimir] “Putin? And the president of China is a fierce man. A fierce man, a very tough man,” the 45th president said of Xi Jinping.
“They announced that he’s probably going to resign. We’re just going to keep knocking him out, right?” Trump said, before walking away.
It is unclear what golf course the video was shot at or when it was taken.
Asked for comment, the Trump campaign referred The Washington Post to an earlier statement about the “total collapse of the Democratic Party.”
“Every Democrat calling for the unscrupulous Joe Biden to resign once supported Biden and his failed policies that have led to excessive inflation, open borders, and chaos at home and abroad,” Trump campaign officials Chris LaCivita and Suzie Wiles said in the letter.
“There is no doubt that the Democrats, the mainstream media, and the Swamp have conspired to hide the truth from the American people: that Joe Biden is weak, failed, dishonest, and unfit for the White House,” they added. “They have all lied about Joe Biden’s cognitive status and, for the past four years, especially his stingy co-pilot Kamala Harris, have supported his disastrous policies.”
“President Trump will beat any Democrat on November 5th because he has a proven track record and a platform to ‘Make America Great Again,'” the statement concluded.
Biden has vowed to continue his campaign despite plummeting poll numbers and calls from Democratic officeholders, donors and strategists for him to give up on reelection after his disastrous debate defeat.
