President Donald Trump held his third cabinet meeting on Monday with Elon Musk in attendance, where agency leaders discussed potential cuts in programs that are deemed useless.

At the first cabinet meeting with the Trump administration, Musk announced his progress with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This advanced to the third meeting as authorities presented efforts to reduce spending within their respective agencies.
“We are eliminating redundancy with the help of Elon. We are streamlining the department,” said Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Throughout the meeting, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins revealed that her agency had cancelled a $300,000 contract aimed at educating queer and transgender farmers on food equality.
At one point, Transport Secretary Sean Duffy said he is working with Musk and Doge to upgrade the country's outdated air traffic control system.
The second meeting with Musk was widely reported to include clashes between Musk's Secretary Sean Duffy and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, although President Trump denied such incidents.
The alleged conflict was caused by differences in opinion about the speed at which federal employees were fired and the size and scope of the federal cuts.
At a meeting Monday, President Trump told the cabinet that cuts must occur despite potential political fallouts.
“I don't know how it's open to the public, but that's something we have to do,” Trump said.
The mask was seen wearing a red hat during the meeting that read, “Trump was right about everything.”
