TAMPA, Fla. — Trump’s Border Policies Highlighted
In a recent exclusive interview with Breitbart News at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit, Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) emphasized that President Donald Trump’s greatest achievement has been the situation at the U.S. border.
When asked to define what he sees as Trump’s most significant accomplishment during his second term, Moreno responded, “More than that.”
“I traveled extensively across Ohio for two years, driving about 2,000 miles a week. I’ve been all over,” he noted, suggesting immigration and inflation as pressing issues.
“Recently, 25,000 individuals gathered, and not a single person was paroled into the country. Zero. It’s quite astonishing. In fact, it’s so effective that the mainstream media seems to have dropped it from their coverage,” he added.
“This outcome has surprised many. I don’t think anyone expected it, but we face a problem. It’s far easier for criminals to enter the country than for us to remove them. We need substantial funding for ICE to accelerate these deportations,” he explained.
In response to why Democrats protest deportation efforts and disregard American sentiment on the issue, Moreno stated, “They prioritize criminal foreigners over American citizens.”
“What has happened as millions have arrived in our country? Housing prices, insurance costs, and vehicle prices have all increased, while crime rates have risen,” he shared.
Moreno further questioned the empathy shown towards those who unlawfully cross borders, reflecting on how people generally wouldn’t sympathize with home invaders. “It’s baffling. Imagine your neighbor saying, ‘Why not give them time? Why not cover their healthcare? It’s absurd,'” he remarked.
“Look, Jamie Dimon pointed out that the Democrats often act from the heart, but lack rational thinking,” he concluded.
