ICE Arrests Over 800 Illegal Aliens in Illinois
Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) has detained more than 800 undocumented individuals in Illinois, a state known for its sanctuary policies.
This operation, referred to as Midway Blitz, comes in the wake of a tragic event where 20-year-old Katie Abraham and her friend Chloe Porzin lost their lives in a hit-and-run accident caused by undocumented drivers.
“DHS law enforcement has conducted over 800 arrests in Illinois during Operation Midway Blitz,” stated Tricia McLaughlin from the Department of Homeland Security.
The current administration will not let violent offenders threaten our communities or harm children and other innocent people. There will be no tolerance for sanctuary politicians or disruptive individuals when it comes to enforcing the law. Those arrested include serious offenders like pedophiles, murderers, gang members, and domestic abusers.
Among those apprehended, there are individuals with serious convictions, including statutory rape, armed carjacking, and various child sex crimes.
Cristobal Kalias Maisin, an undocumented individual from El Salvador, has been convicted of statutory rape and fraud, with additional pending charges for assault and failure to register as a sex offender.
Stephen Cave, an illegal immigrant from Austria, has a history of sexual assault and has now faced charges for murder and other serious offenses.
Wadzichek Janic, a Polish illegal immigrant, was arrested for DUI and domestic violence against family members.
Eduardo Sandoval Secondino, from Mexico, has been found guilty on multiple charges, including DUI and possession of methamphetamine.
Arminas Lubianskas, an illegal alien from Lithuania, faces deportation following his arrest for robbery and overstaying his visa.
Pedro Juan Avalos Quezada, another undocumented person from Mexico, has been convicted of multiple serious crimes, including aggravated assault.
Ricardo Piccardo Zambrano, also from Mexico, has a record of theft and illegal entry.
Carlos Rene Contreras, a Honduran undocumented individual, has faced multiple deportations and illegal re-entry charges.
Refugio Ramirez Larios, from Mexico, has been found guilty of various violent crimes, including murder and gun possession.
Angel Galindo Viberos, another undocumented person from Mexico, faces charges related to armed carjacking and robbery.
Yushell Alejandro Yin Del Toro has been convicted of domestic violence and resisting police officers.
Eric Antonio Furuta Rojas has previous DUI charges and faces more for similar incidents.
Yeik Michelle Ramirez-Alvarez was involved in an armed robbery.
Juan Jose Sanchez Contrera has been found guilty of cocaine possession.
Alejandro Bernal also has a record of theft and illegal re-entry.
Blanca Cecilia Sanchez Sanchez, from Venezuela, has reportedly been linked to gang activity.
Enforcing federal immigration laws in Illinois has proven to be challenging for ICE, facing significant pushback from Governor J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, along with leftist activists who protest outside detention centers.
Recently, these activists have made threatening chants, expressing hostility towards ICE, shortly after incidents of gunfire outside an ICE facility in Dallas.
