The Supreme Court endorses the impending ban on Tiktok
Shortly after commencing his term, Trump enacted an executive order, rushing towards the April 5th deadline, which requires the sale of Tiktok to an American buyer or the closure of the app.
The president informed reporters that a deal will be finalized by Saturday, mentioning strong interest in the platform.
“We are making progress on Tiktok, and numerous potential buyers are interested,” Trump stated. “There’s substantial interest in Tiktok. …We have an exceptionally talented team of bidders. Many parties want to acquire Tiktok. We are also in negotiations with China.”

Trump indicates he might reduce tariffs on China under specific circumstances
President Trump noted that Peter Doucy’s discussions on Fox News haven’t been connected to a broader tariff agreement with China, but he remains “open to options.”
“I am a very adaptable person,” Trump asserted. “…Perhaps when you receive approval for something, you can reduce some tariffs. I’m not doing that now. Maybe I will, maybe I won’t.”
He emphasized that the decision is his alone.

“The choice will be mine,” Trump confirmed. “Through Congress, I was given the authority to make that decision.”
During the Presidential election, Trump mentioned he would not “prohibit Tiktok” after joining the platform, though he raised concerns regarding national security during his first presidential term.
