In a recent discussion, Blaze TV host Allie Beth Stuckey expressed her support for the Trump administration’s new initiative, Moms.gov, aimed at providing resources for mothers and pregnant women. While she highlighted the positive aspects, she also raised some ethical concerns regarding certain features of the website.
“Moms.gov is a fantastic new platform by the Trump administration that offers support to mothers and families,” Stuckey noted, emphasizing its role in connecting pregnant women with local pregnancy care centers.
She added, “God is using these pregnancy care centers to provide women with the truth, resources, and connections to believers, guiding them towards the gospel. It’s truly inspiring to see what God is accomplishing through these centers, and I’m pleased that the Trump administration is bringing attention to this.” The website also includes valuable information on nutrition, health during pregnancy, breastfeeding resources, and mental health support.
“If the left truly cared about women and children, it would have been the Biden administration that launched Moms.gov. It should have been an initiative from the Democrats to ensure mothers had the support they require,” Stuckey argued.
However, she expressed skepticism about the initiative being as pro-life as it’s often portrayed.
“Moms.gov endorses IVF, which is categorized as a treatment for infertility,” she said, critiquing the approach. “But IVF doesn’t actually resolve infertility issues; it merely circumvents them, without addressing the underlying causes.” Stuckey emphasized that there are significant ethical issues surrounding IVF.
“In vitro fertilization often results in multiple embryos being created, which might be stored, discarded, or used in experiments. This process can resemble eugenics, since couples frequently produce more embryos than they can implant,” she pointed out.
She further explained, “Typically, as many embryos as possible are generated. Those with chromosomal defects are often discarded, and in some cases, the couple may remain unaware that this is occurring.” Stuckey concluded with a strong moral stance, likening this to abortion, saying, “In the pro-life movement, we’ve reiterated that ‘A person is a person, no matter how small.’”
