Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on MSNBC's “The Rachel Maddow Show” on Monday that former President Donald Trump's politics of “hate and division” put the security of the United States at risk.
“I am very hopeful, even optimistic, that the American people, who do not want to see a continuation of the politics of hate and division, will reject Trump,” Clinton said.
She continued, “The issue in this case is Donald Trump, his sedition, and the danger he poses to our country and the world. You know, they relentlessly attacked President Biden for what they perceived to be his problems in the debate and called for him to withdraw from the debate. I believe Donald Trump has failed time and time again as a presidential candidate, let alone as president.”
Clinton added, “I believe more and more Americans reject the kind of chaos that Harris represents. There is no turning back. That's what the Harris campaign has always said: There is no turning back. You know, Harris cannot turn back on what she failed to do to protect American lives during this pandemic. Her romance with a dictator puts innocent lives at risk and undermines the security of our country. We cannot turn back and give this very dangerous man another chance to harm our country and the world.”
