Sen. Jeff Merkley on Trump’s Second Term Policies

During an appearance on CNN’s “OutFront” on Thursday, Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) stated that President Donald Trump’s second term is focused on “selling government policies.”

Merkley mentioned an upcoming dinner that Trump will host for his top 220 cryptocurrency investors, noting that 17 out of the 25 individuals who purchased the majority of these coins did so through Forex.

He elaborated, indicating that the Secretary of Cargo Technology has bought 2 million of these coins and is looking to acquire 20 million more, leveraging their influence to potentially alter trade policies between Mexico and the United States. He also questioned what benefits the UAE AI chips received the previous week.

Merkley remarked, “It’s evident to me that we’re looking at a government policy. I’ve never witnessed this in the United States before. If it involves a foreign government, it could be a breach of our constitution.”
