Trump to Deliver State of the Union Address

On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump will present the fourth State of the Union address of his presidency. Among the guests are Erica Kirk, widow of conservative leader Charlie Kirk, and the parents of a National Guard member who was tragically killed in D.C. in November 2025.

Trump is set to speak at 9 PM ET, highlighting his administration’s achievements aimed at addressing economic challenges and the rising cost of living. His address will feature special guests illustrating the positive impact of his policies on everyday Americans, along with stories of resilience and triumph.

One of the notable attendees is Erica Kirk, who now heads the group Turning Point USA after her husband’s assassination in September 2025. Trump’s speech is anticipated to mention a revival of faith in America, particularly following Kirk’s passing.

The U.S. men’s hockey team, fresh off their gold medal victory over Canada, will also be present. They traveled from Miami to Washington, D.C. via Air Force jet.

Ordinary citizens, like Katherine Rayner from Norfolk, Virginia, will share their experiences as well. Rayner, who has faced infertility issues, made headlines by becoming the first patient to utilize a government portal aimed at reducing prescription drug costs, significantly lowering her medication expenses.

Another guest is Megan Hemhauser, a mother from Pennsylvania who homeschools her kids while working nights. Hemhauser’s family has benefitted from tax exemptions related to tips and overtime under Trump’s administration, resulting in a boost in their take-home pay.

Additionally, the parents of Sarah Beckstrom, a National Guardsman who lost her life in a targeted attack in November 2025, have been invited. Young Dalila Coleman, who suffered serious injuries in a vehicle accident involving an undocumented driver, will also attend.

First Lady Melania Trump is spotlighting her commitment to youth and education by inviting guests who participate in programs aimed at empowering the next generation. Sierra Burns, involved in the Youth Independence Program, and Everest Neblaumont, an AI-focused student, will be present alongside the first lady.

Interestingly, the U.S. women’s hockey team, despite their victory, declined to speak during the event due to timing concerns.

Trump’s forthcoming address is expected to celebrate the economic successes and the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence, with an emphasis on the nation’s heroes and their stories, as noted by White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt.
