Trump's White House Energy Leaves Democrats and Media Unsure How to Halt It

Harrison Fields, a special assistant to the president and deputy press secretary, joined Breitbart News Daily. On Wednesday, discussion revolved around the workflow in the Trump White House, the administration’s approach to communication, and recent policy achievements.

While speaking to Breitbart News Daily, Fields emphasized that the performance of the Trump administration extends beyond public perception. “I’m glad the outside matches the inside. That’s not always true for other administrations,” he noted.

Fields remarked that President Trump’s return signaled a philosophy of “all gas, no brakes.” He mentioned improvements in border security, calling it “effectively safe,” and pointed out a $9.4 billion retirement package he referred to as “one big beautiful bill.” He highlighted stock market gains, deregulation, and taxpayer savings. Additionally, he discussed steps taken on social issues, such as limitations on men competing in women’s sports and settlements with universities like Columbia and Brown.

When asked about his work schedule, Fields shared that he typically puts in around 12 hours, beginning before 8 a.m. and wrapping up around 7:45 p.m. “We don’t close shop until 6, 7, or 8 o’clock,” he added.

Fields elaborated on the communication team’s internal structure, describing his role as the president’s special assistant and also working under Press Secretary Caroline Leavbitt. He commended the administration for its quick response capabilities, mentioning Associates like Kaelan Door and Taylor Budwich.

The deputy press secretary explained how the team swiftly identifies trending stories, using social media and research to uncover connections among suspects in Washington, DC. “We’re maximizing the Libs’ struggles,” Fields said, also noting that management focuses on digital rebuttals to influence the news cycle effectively.

Fields praised the White House video team, led by Isaac, Bryce, and Alex, for producing highlight reels for presidential events. He referenced their work on the administration’s new TikTok accounts as a sign of adapting outreach strategies.

Reflecting on a recent meeting with European leaders, Fields described the atmosphere in the White House as “preparing for the rally,” just days following the president’s summit in Alaska. He emphasized the involvement of everyone from military personnel to detention staff in these efforts.

Fields concluded by sharing a personal anecdote about his favorite spot in Eisenhower’s executive office building, recalling the first time he saw Marine One as a young staff member in 2019.
