Tucker Carlson Announces Interview with Iranian President
On Saturday, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson shared plans to broadcast an interview with Iranian President Mausudopezeshkian, particularly in light of the ongoing tensions between the US and Israel.
“We know we’ll face criticism for this interview. Why do you go through with it anyway?” Carlson remarked on his show. He emphasized that “our viewpoint remains unchanged: Americans have constitutional and God-given rights to access information about issues that impact them.”
The complete discussion between Carlson and Pezeschkian is anticipated to be ready for airing “in a day or two” after final edits are made by his media team.
Carlson mentioned he refrained from inquiring about topics he presumed wouldn’t yield “honest answers,” such as whether US strikes have influenced Iran’s nuclear endeavors. “There’s no way he’d respond honestly to that. I was fine with asking, actually. From an American angle, even a CIA one, we’ll spread their answers.”
Instead, he questioned Pezeschkian about his intentions: “Are you seeking a conflict with the United States? With Israel?”
Carlson has voiced his disapproval of the Trump administration and Republican Senator Ted Cruz (Texas) for supporting recent airstrikes against three Iranian nuclear sites, labeling Fox News lawmakers and previous associates as “Warmongers” who appear to promote violence.
In response to Carlson’s criticisms, President Trump sent a message that he “gets a TV network” to “get a TV network,” encouraging audiences to tune in.
Israel initiated the first strikes on Iran on June 13, which resulted in the deaths of various military leaders and top engineers to hinder Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
On Saturday, Carlson expressed he has requested three interviews with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently to offer a more balanced perspective on Middle Eastern affairs.
He stated, “The interview’s aim was to enrich the body of knowledge that Americans can utilize to form their opinions. It’s about learning as much as possible and making informed decisions, which is what America promises.”
“I hope this interview will be edited and available soon, within a couple of days to bring it to life,” Carlson concluded.
