MILWAUKEE — Former Michigan Republican gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon will attend former President Trump’s highly anticipated rally in Michigan on Saturday, revealing how he expects things to play out in the wake of the assassination attempt on Trump.
““I think people feel safer because it’s indoors, and they feel more in control when they’re indoors, in a building like this,” Dixon said in an interview with Fox News Digital about safety concerns for the event.
“So there’s going to be a lot of attention on the Secret Service. Naturally, they’re going to change their procedures to make sure they get as much information as they can. If you look here, [the RNC Convention]Everybody should feel safe, and every time you turn around there’s not just a police officer there, there’s a group of police officers and Secret Service around the perimeter. So we feel incredibly safe.“
Dixon said he hopes to hear new vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance speak at the Grand Rapids rally, focusing on unity and appeal.
