Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard Glenn BeckThe Blaze Media co-founder spoke about what former President Donald Trump must do to beat Vice President Kamala Harris in the debate.
Gabbard made the comments Tuesday as a guest on Beck's radio show, a day after she endorsed Trump, who had recruited her onto his team to help prepare for the debate.
“This really is going to be an opportunity for Donald Trump to make that clear to the American people.”
Beck asked Gabbard for her thoughts on the upcoming debate after she “dominated” Harris in a 2019 Democratic primary debate.
“Donald Trump is not a politician, and I think that's what people really love about him. Glenn, it's not surprising that he doesn't prepare for a debate like a typical politician. But it was great to spend time with him and his team,” Gabbard said.
Gabbard also predicted the types of attacks the Democratic presidential candidates will use during the debates to try to cover up their lack of experience.
“If there's anything that really helps me, it's just the fact that I've been on the same stage as Kamala Harris. I know how she thinks, how she's trying to set the traps, how she's trying to lure Donald Trump into the narrative that she's trying to push for the American people,” she explained.
“And frankly, how is she going to hide her record,” Gabbard continued. “To me, that's the biggest issue. She's saying the exact opposite of what her record shows. And this is really going to be an opportunity for Donald Trump to expose that to the American people.”
Gabbard also alleged that Harris was trying to change the rules of the debate to give her an advantage.
“This highlights a weakness on her part that the American people need to be aware of. She is demanding that there be debates and that she be allowed to take notes to the debates,” Gabbard explained.
“Why does she need a memo? If she knows the issues, if she knows where she stands on the most important policies and challenges facing the American people right now, why does she need a memo?” she asked rhetorically.
She responded that Harris needed the notes because she “needed someone to tell her what to say.”
Gabbard represented Hawaii in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2021.
