Two-Thirds Say They Get Poor Value from Paying Tax to Joe Biden

About two-thirds of American taxpayers believe President Joe Biden will get less value from paying their taxes, according to a poll conducted by the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and The Associated Press-NORC. It was revealed.

Less than 25 percent of Americans say they get enough value from paying taxes.

Most taxpayers don’t want to pay more tax even if they receive more value. 50% want the federal government to reduce taxes and provide less value. When it comes to state sales tax levels, 43% said they would pay less if the value was lower. 43% answered the same regarding local property tax.

66% have no confidence in how Joe Biden’s federal bureaucracy will spend their hard-earned tax dollars. 58% said the same about state government.

Another two-thirds said federal income taxes, state sales taxes and local property taxes are too high.

About 60% said Biden’s federal income tax was “unfair.” Fifty-nine percent said the same about local property taxes, as did 52% who said the state sales tax was unfair.

“Whether it’s local, state or federal taxes, most people want their taxes lower and are skeptical about the value they get from these taxes,” said David Sterrett, principal investigator at the AP-NORC Center. To tell. Said of hill. “Many people consider these taxes to be unfair and place the greatest burden on middle-income households.”

poll sampled 1,024 adults were surveyed from December 14 to 28, 2023, with a margin of error of ± 4.2%.
